The famous and delicious stir fry flat rice noodles, of course THE SPECIAL CHAR KUEY TEOW ! Typically this dish can be found in hawker stalls and restaurants. The combination of some belacan, prawns, cockles and bean sprout. To kick up the taste, sometimes, it is stir fry with an egg, and some spring onions. It is a compulsory thing that you have to enjoy in Malaysia. The taste that you would never forget when it comes to eating a plate of char kuey teow, without leaving even a single slice of these special flat noodles.

Off all the existing version of char kuey teow, the most popular and throat catching, I would say, the Penang style char kuey teow. The balance flavour, from the combination of soy sauce, some ginded chillies surely would make you drooling when you see the hawker frying the char kuey teow. So, what are you waiting for? Come, and have a taste that you would never regret! :)

THE DELICIOUS SATAY :)

carigold.com

For this entry, I would like to emphasis on the most favorite among Malaysians, of course SATAY! Satay is a kind of grilled chicken or beef, they have been marinated together with some other spices just to spark the great taste of the real satay. As far as i know, the marinate ingredients needed is lemongrass, ginger, some salt, sugar, turmeric powder, galangal, fennel, cumin and lastly some garlic.

I just gave you some of the basic ingredients to marinate those satay. :)

Then, those ingredients are going to be blend and marinate the chicken or beef. The marinated chicken or beef are going to be grilled until it is done. Normally, people would dipped those juicy, tender and sweet taste of satay with peanut sauce. Some add on like ketupat, cucumbers and onions usually enclosed together with the satay.  In order to make the taste of the sauce attracting or tempting enough, I suggest that why don't you put some sambal in it. The taste of the peanut sauce and sambal is a great combination for satay.

THE ULTIMATE TEH TARIK :)

Teh Tarik or pulled tea, or in short milk tea holds a very special place in every Malaysian's heart. Made from fresh dried black tea, mixed with sweet and milky condensed milk.

This special beverage originally from Indian race, which usually, served hot. What can be the best to seat with beside this awesome beverage? Of course, roti canai!

Next, we move on to teh tarik halia, or milk tea, but a little bit different, it has a slice of ginger in it. The reason why they put in those ginger slices, is because maybe, from my opinion, they want to cut down the milky or sweetness taste from the condensed milk. Healthy, but it might taste weird, for me.

For those who enjoys teh tarik much, am sure, they would be more delighted if they can drink it at least once a day to lighten their daily life. Regardless, from any races, Malays, Chinese and Indians, they would find these teh tarik as one of their compulsory beverages after a hard and hectic lifestyles. Thank you!
